Clinical Psychologist / Psychotherapist / Dr. Lecturer / Supervisor

After graduating from İzmir Atatürk High School, she completed her undergraduate psychology and master's degree in clinical psychology at Ankara University. She completed her PhD in Health-Oriented Clinical Psychology at Istanbul University with her thesis titled “Investigation of Predictors of Medication Compliance Behavior in Bipolar Disorder within the Framework of Integrated Behavioral Model”.

As a Clinical Psychologist, she has carried out individual psychotherapy, family therapy and psychometric tests for more than ten years in many public hospitals. The last 5 years of her field studies were carried out in Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital, first in the child and adolescent psychiatry outpatient clinic and inpatient ward, and then in the adult psychosis ward and psychology laboratory of the same hospital.

Buket Ünver, who continues her clinical work as a psychotherapist, continues to work as a faculty member at Işık University Psychology Department. In addition to her academic studies, she is supported by the Tübitak 1001 program “Echoes of Childhood Traumas: The Effects of Parental Mentalization Capacity on the Socio-Emotional Development of the Child” project supported by Tübitak 1001 program.
